MESSAGE FROM CALEA: The CALEA Accreditation process requires agencies to provide staff training in a number of topical areas, which range from Use of Force to Background Investigations. CALEA has been working with an online training provider for the past year to develop training that provides a resource for agencies to comply with the respective standards in a complementary manner. As our relationship with the training developer has matured, we have reached a position where we would like to learn from CALEA enrolled agencies what specific types of training would support them in maintaining compliance with CALEA Standards. Our intent is to enhance the services offered through CALEA Accreditation.
Please send your training suggestions to Regional Program Manager Maya Mitchell at firstname.lastname@example.org.
